Harry Hill goes nuts for fair trade nuts
By admin • Aug 3rd, 2008 • Category: Fairtrade food, fairtradeAccording to an article in the Observer, BAFTA award winning comedian Harry Hill is set to launch his own celebrity branded fairtrade peanuts, or Harry’s Nuts if you prefer.
The popular comic is working in collaboration with fairtrade nut company Liberation on the new range of peanuts that will carry his branding. Harry Hill is not set to make any money of this endevour into the celebrity endorsed fairtrade food market himself as he wants the focus to be on helping the smallholder farmers in Latin America and Africa, which is a noble endevour.
Liberation which was launched at the end of last year made £1.6 million in its first operating year and set to double this year. The company runs purely to benefit the developing country farmers and their families with their entire product portfolio being focused on Fairtrade.
